Even the warmest weather can’t keep the Dayton region from celebrating survivorship. For the second year in a row, the Dayton region has held its Survivor Celebration with the hometown minor-league baseball team, Dayton Dragons.

Allowing the front plaza to turn pink and teal for the night, current and former PRG clients, donors, caregivers and supporters gathered for dinner, the sharing of stories and fellowship before heading into the ballpark.

PRG’s mobile education unit Hope in Motion was on hand so visitors could learn more about what to look for during self-exams and times when it makes sense to see a physician for more information. The customized Airstream unit has several hands-on, interactive units that replicate what it may feel like when a self-exam may result in a lump.

From emcee Jan Middleton, PRG Director of Peer Support and Education, "Survivor Celebrations are some of our favorite events of the year. Seeing so many in our PRG family in one place is such a moving experience, we're already looking forward to the next one!"

Thank you again to all of our sponsors who helped make this event possible. Especially Moeller Brew Barn who provided pizza, root beer, lemonade and water. And all of the Driven By Hope vehicles from Ernst Concrete and Level MB as well as the PRG Fire Truck and Hope in Motion make for such fun photo ops!
