A letter of thanks

To: Pink Ribbon Girls

My husband and I can't thank you enough for all the assistance that you provided me in our time of need.

The meals helped us in so many ways. They allowed us to save money that was very tight, since I wasn't working. It was a real blessing on the days I really wasn't up for cooking — it made it easier to prepare a good meal to ensure my husband, who put in a hard, long day, had something good to eat. We were able to try some new recipes that we will continue to cook in the future.

The rides to and from treatments helped my husband avoid added stress in worrying about me. The rides allowed me to relax, especially the long days when I was so tired after treatment.

It was such a relief that I didn't have to drive home. Even though the commute was only 25 minutes, it really meant so much to us both that the worry and stress of that was removed.

The services were a blessing to receive, we are also grateful for the people we had the pleasure of working with at Pink Ribbon Girls. Everyone that we spoke with via phone, email or text was a very wonderful. Everyone was extremely professional and wonderfully personable and compassionate about our situation. It didn't matter if I was changing my rider for the 3rd time — the interaction was always pleasant.

My husband and I are extremely grateful to you all. Please accept this handmade gift as a small token of our appreciation of our gratitude to you all for the work that you do- it really makes a difference! This is one of my favorite sayings from Winnie the Pooh, “May you find the power in it for you on “those days” when you need it!”

Love Hugs Kisses,
John & Laura-Lee W.
